URS BOUTELLIER

Urs Boutellier is Professor Emeritus of the Department of Health Sciences and Technology at ETH Zurich, the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the University of Zurich (UZH). In 1975, he completed his medical studies with the state examination at the UZH. As a sports physiologist, he has researched key aspects of respiration, circulation and energy supply during human movement. He is the author or co-author of 80 peer-reviewed publications. He has managed an above-average teaching workload at the two Zurich universities. In 2012, the students voted him the best of over 3,500 lecturers at ETH. With regard to the SEMS, the following is worth mentioning: Member since 1973. In 1987 he won the Scientific Prize of the Swiss Society for Sports Medicine. From 2003 to 2012, he was Editor-in-Chief of the Swiss Journal of Sports Medicine and Sports Traumatology.
