NINA KIMMICH

PD Dr. med. Nina Kimmich is Head Physician at the Department of Obstetrics at the University Hospital Zurich. Her scientific focus here is on birth mechanics, the prevention, evaluation and diagnosis of visible birth injuries and pelvic floor trauma. A further focus is on the topic of (competitive) sport and pregnancy. In this context, Dr. Kimmich co-founded the “Swiss Society for Women's Medicine and Sport” (“gynsports”) in 2023. This represents women's medical issues in sport, acts as a point of contact for female athletes and specialist staff, offers competent advice and medical care from experts and promotes national and international networking in the field of “women and sport”.
